    Spanish desserts

I am doing a Spanish meal for my brother who is coming into town on Friday. I'm trying to find a Spanish dessert that is not flan, rice based (I'm doing a paella so I don't want more rice) or a cake (he's coming in so we can celebrate birthdays on Sunday and that will be too much cake).

Any suggestions? I was trying to think of something fruit based

I couldn't think of any desserts in time to reply before your Friday dinner. But I'm wondering, what did you decide to make for dessert, Mystergirl?

I just ran across this. I ended up doing a sorbet sunset terrine. I used blackberry on the bottom, then raspberry and mango on top. I sliced it and served it with angel food cake - not exactly Spanish but at least it was in season and really tasty.
