Increasing the serving size for shopping list

I'd like to increase the yield of certain recipes, and have that change in ingredient amounts show up on the shopping list. For example, a muffin recipe yields 12 muffins. I'd like to make 36 for the week. When I change the yield to 36 on the recipe page, and click on the link it add ingredients to the shopping list, the proper amount of ingredients do not show up, only the amount for the original yield.
I have also tried to add the same recipe to three different days in the weekly menu, and then click to receive the shopping list, but no luck there either.
Is there a way to do this? Thanks!

There is an option to change the yield on recipes, but regrettably it won't stick and reflect in menu, print out, or shopping list. This is because although the ingredient amounts have been scaled to the new serving size, any ingredient amounts, cooking times, and/or temperatures referenced in the directions still refer to the original serving size. However, we appreciate your suggestion and will forward along for consideration.

The thing is, Mary, I USED to be able to do this from the shopping list page and in fact there is an "Update" button on the shopping list that makes it look like you can change the number of servings. Please encourage folks to give us back the functionality we used to have.

It has been several months now since I posted about the problem with not being able to change amounts on recipes in the shopping list - this was a function which I used weekly when preparing my shopping list for the market, however, has been broken for at least six months. I am wondering when this issue is going to be resolved. When I first questioned this issue I was informed the team was aware of the problem and was looking into getting this resolved - but again, this was several months ago and nothing has been fixed to date. Please, please let your development team know this is something a lot of us cooks are wanting to see fixed and soon.

The Shopping List tool is being worked on to make a better experience, but I do not have an ETA I can give you. Hopefully in the next few months, though!

LOL, I thought I was the only one--yes, PLEASE encourage them to change this. I have yet to really use the shopping list feature since it lacks this feature. With 6 kids, a dozen muffins doesn't go very far icon_wink.gif Thank you so much for looking into this and your help.

I hope this is something that can be resolved in the near, rather than the far, future - I know there are many of us who have missed this functionality.

On a totally separate subject - regarding private notes added to recipes, is there a possibility that those notes could be transferred to the full screen option when selected - my preference is to always use full screen, however, my notes don't make it so I have to either use two screens, one to view the entire recipe and one to view the private note OR just use the original recipe page, which isn't as user friendly. Never hurts to ask right? icon_lol.gif
