    Hello alankar from Mumbai wave.gif I wish I can help with first hand info on Indian recipes, but I'm very weak on Indian food scene. Is there certain recipes you are trying to recreate or find? I can certainly look through my cookbooks for ideas.

    I'm a bit knowledgable about Indian food but I am travelling in South America until late August, so am a long way from my resources. Plus the internet is weak and slow. I'll see if I can find anything.
    What kind of dessert ingredients do you want to use?

    Just normal dry fruits like Cashews, Almonds & nothing more..

    Thanks, I'll see what I can find when I get home.
    Ad you might be interested to know that I am going to India for a month
    later this year and we'll be having Indian food three meals a day, every day.
    I hope to learn lots of new recipes.

    How about badam paprh? These are fun to make.

    1 1/2 C almonds, blanched
    1/2 C packed brown sugar
    confectioner's sugar

    Grind the almonds in a food processor until oily or use mortar and pestle and grind until they become oily. Add the brown sugar and knead the mixture until it is very smooth and soft.

    Divide the mixture into 6 or 8 portions and roll each into a ball. Lightly coat the balls with confectioner's sugar and use a rolling pin to roll each one into a thin round.

    Leave the portions to dry for 6-8 hours. Store up to 2 weeks.
