I've been travelling for a month and just tried the sifter tonight.
I'm trying to answer a query in a forum and put 'lobster' in the search
field and then tried to sift by cuisine -- NOTHING.

I the asked to browse all recipes and tried to sift for cuisine or
ingredients, but once again -- NOTHING.

On Safari on a Mac. Sifter worked several weeks back. What happened?

I just used it five minutes ago, it worked fine, but I wasn't searching by cuisine. Did you try the "usual" advice we see so often and roll our eyes at? Cache and cookies, that is. icon_rolleyes.gif I'm using FF22.
There's also a current thread on sifter issues, don' know that it would be of any help. http://www.food.com/bb/viewtopic.zsp?t=393882

Thanks Zeldaz. I've decided not to bother with the sifter again until I get
    home in September.

What works and does not work seems to change from search to search. it's almost as if every other selection works.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Frustrating that such a potentially
useful tool is so useless. It used to work so well.

There have been some intermittent issues with the sifter sticking on some searches. I have alerted the team and they are looking into. In the interim, try refreshing when it does stick and see if that helps.

Thanks Mary. I did try refreshes and whole new searches, but it didn't make
any difference. Let us know when things are better.
