Hi menu peeps!!!! It's July and that means bbq's and picnics in the US. Woo hoo!! My favorite part of a bbq or picnic are always the side dishes. To me, if all you have is baked beans and potato salad, the party is ...well, sorely lacking! icon_smile.gif

Anywho, our Fourth of July was quiet as the boys went to a party and my DH went to bed early. Oh well. Still did some bbq ribs for just the two of us.

Here's my menu for the coming week. Share yours!!!

Saturday - menfolk are going fishing. Not sure if I'm cooking or not. Depends upon how far away they go, and if close, how much fish they catch!

Sunday - California BBQ Chicken Pizza using leftover bbq chicken in freezer, salad

Monday - Italian “Drunken” Noodles With Spicy Italian Sausage, saw this on Pinterest...looks good! With salad

Tuesday - Niku Jaga (Japanese Beef Stew in the Crock Pot) - week 3 of this on my menu. Maaaaybe I'll get it made this week!

Wednesday - Spaghetti, salad and bread

Thursday - BUNCO!!! Burritos for the menfolk

Friday - leftovers or out to eat!

Hi everyone -- simple meals for us this week. It is so hot and humid and stormy these days. I hope all of our trees stay standing!

Sat – Freezer Ready Cornflake Chicken Fingers (last of the batch in the freezer icon_sad.gif ), broccoli, polenta fries
Sun – cookout at inlaws’ pool; I am bringing sliced fresh-picked peaches (our neighbors went to an orchard) and cream to whip for a nice summer dessert
Mon – S.A.L.T.s with veg (smoked salmon, avocado, lettuce, and tomato on toast … putting the salmon under the broiler briefly makes it sort of bacon-y)
Tue – Baja Black Beans, Corn and Rice
Wed – Salmon Soup with bread and parm
    Thu – leftovers from Tue
Fri – TBD – dh may be away, in which case I am expending minimal effort (eg, salad with tuna and cheese/crackers or something similar)
