Yes I used coconut Oil - I love the way it works with so many things. I did find it at Walmart and it wasn't that bad - don't remember exactly but like $4. They only had the refined and the way I understand it the unrefined is better but can't speak to that - I think the unrefined also has the taste of coconut in it. I'm anxious to find that. icon_biggrin.gif

12 loaves White Bread on the go. I can't believe that I am already down to 2 loaves from my last batch. But then we eat sandwiches almost everyday.

Just made Liege Waffles (Belgian Pearl Sugar Waffles) for breakfast this morning and was so good. But must say nephew and sister leave tomorrow for home after a summer vacation and really need to get back to our "normal" eating routine. icon_wink.gif

Oh Bonnie! I could go for one (or two) of those.

Had family stay over last night. I made some more rye and swiss cheese loaves. I'm hooked on these things.

Hi Bonnie. Those waffles look great. I debate on buying a waffle iron. I tried making them years ago and got so mad I never made them again. Was an old iron that the previous owner never used.

Red, Yes way too much loafing around going on at my house. LOL Those bread look awesome, too bad my family isn't into eating bread that isn't white. Well some of us will eat my multi-grain bread.

We will be back to school/work soon (9 days until I start work, 17 days until school starts) so I will need less bread. But at least it has been timed perfectly. I have been able to make bread on cooler weather days all summer. Or can I really call it timed. I guess I just lucked out to having cooler weather on days I needed to bake bread.

This is the coolest and wettest summer I've seen down South. I've loved it but my wife is tired of the rain.
