Hey Mama Smurf. It is so good to have you with us. Hope you enjoy the salad. Will get things updated in the morning when I'm on the computer instead of the iPad.

Hey Mia. Interesting comment about the Vitamin C. I really didn't know that. See how much you teach me. icon_smile.gif I would send you some tortillas but they would probably be past their prime by the time they got to you. I have only made tortillas once or twice myself. I am blessed that I can buy them in the store.

I had no clue about the vitamin C either before I read that info, it's so great to learn from each other here!

We can get ready made tortillas here, too, but they always contain wheat, no pure corn tortillas availabe. At least I have masa harina, so all I need is some more courage icon_lol.gif

All the information you have posted has been very interesting. Thank you! I would like to travel with everyone and my first stop is the Asian countries. I would like to tag Sushi-Roll Rice Salad#203981 by PaulaG#133174. I love any kind of sushi and this one will be a light dish to serve with some Asian salmon. (Hope I posted this right.) This contains edamames, scallions, cucumber, carrots with a dressing with wasabi paste...yummy. I am also adding red/green diced peppers.

Good to have you on board icon_biggrin.gif
Your choice sounds great, I love sushi and have already saved the recipe!
Looks like we all are heading towards the Asian countries icon_wink.gif

I am very lucky. There are several brands that are marked gluten free. You know what they say, "Practice makes perfect."

Tomorrow night we are cooking on the grill. Grilled brats with lots of grilled onions and bell peppers on a roll. I will also be making a cole slaw and fresh corn on the cob to go with them.

Paula, your meal plans sound terrific.
But I'm not jealous at all because I couldn't resist making your sushi salad, too. That is absolutely delicious, really tastes like sushi rolls unfolded into a bowl. Awesome!

Mia, thank you much for the review. So glad you enjoyed the recipe. I made a slight change with the menu. We are still having grilled brats but instead of corn on the cob I am making Simply German Potato Salad.

Interesting recipe! To tell the truth, I've never had a potato salad like that one. I'm curious how it is.

That was my recipe for the first Simply Potato contest. I like German Potato Salad but I really dislike cutting the potatoes, etc. Simply potatoes has several prepackaged potatoes like the diced cut with onions that are found in the Dairy Case of the grocery. Prep is a breeze and the dish can be ready in minutes.

Did you win the contest, Paula? Yesterday I made a recipe from that contest, here is a picture. Her recipe didn't place, but it was yummy!
