wave.gif Hello CS and everyone! Today DH has a dr. appt. about an hours drive from here. The appt. is at 3:00 pm, so who knows when we will be getting home. I'm thinking of something easy like sandwiches. I bought some good turkey at the deli yesterday that we can use. Have a GREAT day everyone! icon_biggrin.gif

    Morning Everyone!

Cooked 2 meals for Lady #4 last night and delivered this am.

Lady #1 and #2: 3 Cheese and kale ravioli, w/creamy mushrooms broth; grilled romaine w/warm balsamic; and garlic bread.

    Me: A couple of things.
    - a small batch of blender zucchini soup for the freezer stash (my friend left me 6 zucchinis)
    - also making another quiche - found another pie crust in the freezer; and my friend not only left me zucchini, but broccoli too. So, a ham, swiss and broccoli quiche. Most for the freezer, but ...

I will take some to work tonight along with lettuce from my garden and tomatoes.

Shapeweaver, I love it when I can “repurpose” leftovers! Sounds really good!
Becky, hope all is well with your Hubby at the doctors’ day
CindyJ I’d kill for a potato…. (or some ice cream) we’ve been South Beach-ing it for a week
(I didn’t even cheat Friday night, we skipped the home made tater tots w/ smoked Vidalia dipping sauce at Village whiskey! YaY us!)

    For our dinner tonight:

Italian (Turkey) Sausage w/ peppers and onions over cauliflower “rice”
(which my DD looks at me and says “really? Rice? I don’t think so, Mom)

Grilled pork chops, potato salad and a green salad with everything I can find in the fridge to toss in with it. Stores are closed today so running out for a missing 'something' won't fly.

    Thanks Chrissy!
It is in fact Victoria Day but for as long as I can remember it has been called 'May Two Four Weekend" Like your Memorial Day it serves the unofficial function of kicking off summer with fireworks and a 24 case of beer hence the Two Four designation. It's often the first cottage weekend and in this area the date when we can plant annuals with some likelihood that they won't get hit with frost. A very good long weekend. icon_cool.gif

Sometimes it even falls on the 24th. icon_lol.gif
