It's Not Nice To Post Snide Theads...

...When you don't know what's going on in someones life.
I find it disturbing that some of you judge what you think is unusual behavior and think it's funny.
I want to give you a different point of view.
A lot of members don't want to share their health problems because they find refuge here and just want to be treated as "normal".
Did you ever stop to think how much your "hmm must be a drinker" hurts someone who's experiencing early onset dementia? Some days are really good, some not so much. How about Bi-Polar disease?
What about someone who has to take meds that effect them negatively? They don't have a choice.
    You do. icon_wink.gif
    Please think before you post.

I agree. We don't know the whole story, so THINK before you post! JMHO.

I'm not going to go searching for what it is that you're talking about, just a hug for whomever had their feelings hurt

sometimes we take a too casual attitude about the things we say and we don't realize how it can make others feel

What you are saying is if you do not know the whole story do not make snide remarks. I recall back when I was still in school I had to take thyriod pills, Had to take one after lunch, I always got strange looks from others, Like why are you taking meds, what are you "up to" I felt like it was not anyones business, but looking back maybe i should have explained.
Don't want to take up too much room but this reminds me of a story, A fellow was in a school doing an assembly. Anyone recall school assembly? The fellow made a bad joke about going to funerals, The day before there had been a funeral, in that very room, for a student of the school. the flowers were still there! Before you all "judge" that man, he was blind. I am sure he felt the silence after his so called joke. that taught me not to pre judge any one, on purpose.
