It's a long weekend here but Don will be working part or maybe all of it. That would be ok except that it's likely to be 12 hours days so no special plans here. icon_sad.gif
We move in 4 weeks and have done a pathetic amount of packing so I'm on deck for that as well as working on the slipcover from hell that has been pitched across the room more times than I can count. I have a feeling that by the time I have this sucker finished I will hate the fabric! icon_lol.gif

I'm ready to live vicariously..........what are you up to?

I totally understand about the extra hours K9...my Hubby is getting a weeks break from 16 hour days since the first of the year.
Hope your move is painfree and goes smooth for you and yours too.

This weekend we're going to get basics done, yard mown, grill out, wash the house and maybe going to look at flowers for containers. Not too much work, need some fun time!

No plans for tonight (Fri), just laying low.
Saturday afternoon will be busy with "Preakness" stuff (second leg of the Triple Crown races). icon_biggrin.gif
Sunday will be spent helping DH remove some shrubs/hedges from the side of the house - getting a generator installed on Monday and they need room where the hedges/shrubs are to put the generator so it can be hard wired to the house. icon_biggrin.gif

    Thanks for the Preakness reminder!

Tomorrow I'm building my raised bed, then planting it.
Sunday I'm going to look at my raised bed and gloat, cause I can icon_razz.gif

    Piddly stuff inbetween!

Missy, you are falling behind on the packing. You need help. I'll be there on Tuesday (how long does it take to drive from the middle of nowhere to wherever you are in Canada?). I'll bring plenty of wine. If we don't get everything packed we'll have a really good time. icon_wink.gif

My DH with a really bad back and I are planning on putting up a 16' garage door. Neither one of us may be able to move by the time the weekend is over. It may have to wait until my brother gets back home.

Dog sitting for a good friend on vacation. He is about 45 away, so I went up this am, fed and walked the dogs, played with them; took the boat out for a spin; and made him a pot of soup for his freezer.

Back up tonight; but, for taking care of the pups, he always leaves a gift cert to my fave sushi place; so sushi for dinner. The pups are 3 labs; and they are a handful, but a lot of fun.

That pretty much takes care of Sat. A little yard work, gardening, laundry. etc.

Sun, pretty much the same. Boring weekend.

Today (Saturday) - 1 hour road trip to see my 7 y/o great niece dance in her recital. EXCITED!
Tomorrow (Sunda) - Possibly taking inspiration from Dib's and building a cinder block garden. Not sure, though. I like the idea. Have been looking it up this morning. So, we will see. icon_biggrin.gif
