    Hi K9

Do you remember my wee rescue dog? I've had her for two years now and the last thing in the world she is now is timid. In fact I'm glad he isn't doberman size!

    Talk to you later. wave.gif

Hey ladies! I was getting the error message too but it seemed to be when I was reading reviews and trying to open recipes that interested me. Just got on here today so not sure if it is still acting up.

It is a gorgeous day here today. My windows are all thrown wide open. When I got up this morning, the house was only 69F so it must have gotten chilly in the night. It is great for sleeping and any day I can turn off the A/C I am a happy camper.

I am washing sheets and comforters and they are hanging on the line. If I see any birds flying over ready to poop I will scream. (That happened to me last week when I hung out the bedding from DS' bedroom. Grrrrrr.)

Just vacuumed the rec room and the main floor. Upstairs can wait til another day, I'm now on strike.

    Have a fabulous day!

We've had a lot of rain for the last couple of days. Today it can't make it mind up between beautiful sun and over cast. I'm pulling of the sun but you know how it goes.

I'm off to work now, See you later.

Hello everyone! Hope you all are doing well. I assume everyone is out enjoying the weather as it is awfully quiet in here.

We just returned from a holiday in Gananoque (1,000 Islands). We had gorgeous weather! Our room was overlooking the water and the cottages and because there was a full moon, the water was extra sparkly and pretty. I could have stayed another week, but my teenage kids were done with it much faster than Brian and I.

We took the boat and toured around the islands and by Boldt Castle. Wow, that place has really been fixed up. Next year, we have to take our passports so we can stop there, as it is on American soil. We could go around it in the water, but couldn't dock as we didn't have the passports. The last time DH and I went there was over 20 yrs ago and at that time it wasn't much to see. There were only 2 rooms completed and the grounds were shoddy. Now the grounds are gorgeous and I hear that the castle has a lot of rooms that have been completed. It was mobbed with tourists.

Isn't it hard to believe that there is only one week left of summer? I guess things will pickup on the site again once the kids are back to school. I am off to buy DD "back to school stuff". Wish me luck!
Take care everyone and have enjoy the rest of the summer. icon_biggrin.gif

    Hi mum's

Sorry to be so long in replying. I've been wrapping up and putting away my summer job, cooking like mad for ZWT, trying to learn this blasted new camera. Well, you know, just life in general, lol.

Sounds like you had a wonderful trip. Is it ok to say that I'm a little envious? We just have DH and myself and some time away together would be wonderful.

I would love seeing some pix if you have any. icon_biggrin.gif

Believe it or not, I didn't remember to take my camera, but wasn't too worried as the kids are always taking shots on their cell phones. I just have to nag them to download to the computer.

Here is a link to the resort that we stayed at, in case you would like a peek.

It is a lovely family resort, a bit older so it is undergoing some updates but the rooms we had were quite nice (not like the ugly wall papered one that comes up on the website.)

It looks lovely. Even the one with the wallpaper looks really comfy. How far would that be from Toronto?

Sorry I haven't popped in here before. How can you move to the boonies, live life slow and still be busier than before?? That is rhetorical icon_smile.gif

Annacia, I don't remember your little dog but I'd love to see a picture! It made me laugh when you said you were glad she wasn't Doberman size. I have a 100 lb German Shepherd who is the softest dog I have ever shared space with. On walks it is always the little dogs that come flying out to try to take a piece of him. I lmbo watching a little Jack Russel get in his face and he only stands there looking perplexed.

Mums, it sounds like a wonderful vacation!! I love the resort you stayed in and Don would be thrilled with the golf course. OK, I like golf but he is crazy about it but I would still love to be there. Gorgeous course. So glad you had a great time.

I'm going to work very hard in the spring to get a bunch of you Ontario gals down here for a day (or weekend if you don't mind tents icon_wink.gif ) but in the interim I'd love to get together for lunch in September with the Southern Ontario gals. I could call Sandy and Connie and we could meet up in Burlington or Hamilton - whatever works. Annacia, I'd love to meet you as well but SK to On for lunch is probably a stretch. You could however come for lunch and stay a few days. icon_smile.gif

Joy was a rescue dog 2.5 years ago. I need a more current photo of her when her hair grows out. She was just buzzed last week. She feels better but looks dreadful.

I have a reason to go to On but not in the near future. BK and I have to meet up in person!! icon_biggrin.gif

Hi Gals, glad to hear that everyone is having a great summer. We have been busy bees here as well. Baseball is coming to a close, we are having a team party this weekend here and luckily the league funds it so no cooking. We are doing pizza, the kids can go swimming and us parents can sit around with a few beverages and chat away.
Also won tickets to Illuminaqua this weekend to see Bowfire
Lesley I would love to get together for lunch some time soon. I am only off work on Fridays now, not sure if this works for everyone but if it does I will be there.
