EXCITING news for all my friends in CANADA!
From the 27th May to the 2nd June I am in Canada on a press trip courtesy of the Canadian Tourist Board! I am researching and investigating how recipes made it across the pond from England and France, and I will be visiting:
St. Johns, Halifax, Charlottetown and Moncton
Any of you in those areas so we can meet up?

Sadly, not me, although I'd really like it if I could meet you in person Karen! You'll be visiting our Maritime region, and you'll just love it! (even if its 12 or more hours driving from where I live!)

Lots of seafood. All manner of great dark rum (think "Screech" when in Newfoundland!) before you "kiss the codfish" as your "initiation" out there!

I would suggest that my experiences out there taught me that the beef got better the further West you went, but that was when I was in the Army, and so could be quite incorrect these many years later!

I can't properly express how delighted I am that you'll be able to come to our country, and experience the many great things that we are blessed with; please do keep us up to date with your itinerary and planning that we can make it better for you!

I don't know what the weather is in the south of France in early May, but you might want to Google www.theweathernetwork as to what kind of weather you might have to be clothed and protected for in Canada!

    Tartlett, My Dear!

My sincere apologies for the delay in replying. I've been very ill all month and without a computer for most of it as well. This is really my first day back.

Sadly, I'm very far from the area that you'll be visiting. I'm in the prairies of Saskatchewan. Please do share your wonderful experience with us as or after it happens.

I'm so happy for you sweetie. icon_biggrin.gif

Gosh unfortunately I am in Ontario, not one of your stops on your agenda. I will try and get in touch with some gals on the East coast and send them here.
