We drove to the east coast 2 yrs ago and it was beautiful. If I was going to do it again though, I would not drive up to the top of New Brunswick as there really wasn't much to see. The Bay of Fundy was really neat. You have to see it when the tide is out and then come back in 12 hours when the tide is in....it is amazing. PEI is lovely too. We did get a lot of rain on that trip, but that is typical as it is coastal. We also went to Peggy's Cove and it was so foggy that we couldn't see much at all! icon_cry.gif

I've only been to BC once and that was when I was in my early twenties. I would love to get out there again and to see Alberta too. If only I had limitless funds and could travel when and where I want....sigh!

Today Nora and I met for lunch in Ancaster. We went to a little Chinese restaurant that served some yummy food at shockingly low prices! I think our plates were about $6.00 each. Good food, good company! We had a nice visit! icon_biggrin.gif

Good morning Gals, Chef1MOM~Connie said to say hi. She has been trying to get into here to say it herself but for some reason is having a lot of problems with the website. I know Evelyn in Athens is also having problems accessing her recipes. Had to copy and send her one of her own recipes yesterday just so she could get it.
Anyways, Connie and I have been chatting and we are planning on a day outing very soon. She is going to get hold of Whisper and Kree to see if they could come from Rochester. It may be on a weekend, details to follow soon. Would probably involve lunch and shopping around the Buffalo, NY area.

    Hi Gals wave.gif

I've been away for 3 days. It's good to be home.

Do we know of anyone else living in south Saskatchewan other than Cadillacgirl?

    Hi wave.gif

As I'm sure we all know this forum could use a bit of life. I'm wondering if you all would like to play in a "Winterlicious" tag through Jan or Feb.

It would be open tagging (any Canadian recipe on Food, not the person before you) and run for the entire month. No details yet, I first need to know if you guys like the idea and want to play.

    What do you think? icon_biggrin.gif

Hi Annacia. I'll play just about anything if the rules aren't too complicated to figure out. I have to admit that there are a few "events" run on this site that make my head spin by the time I read thru just half of the rules.

    Hi mums

It would be very straight forward hon. We would be tagging any Canadian recipe we like here on Food. The tags would need to be completed by the end of the month. Lots of chat is encouraged icon_wink.gif

I always like to add a small side something for interest that is totally optional for play and not a lot of work.

Mostly I'd just like to see some action and fun happening.

How about a side twist where everyone cooks naked (except for an apron) icon_wink.gif

Only if everyone sends in a photo (apron forward) with a mixing spoon in hand. rotfl.gif

It does have the virtue of being original icon_exclaim.gif icon_biggrin.gif

Looks like the tag game idea is a no go so it's off the table.

Oh, just in case: I'm having surgery on the 12th but should be fine in a few days. I'll check in with you when I'm back on line. icon_wink.gif
