    My wife is temporarily on a very specific diet with extremely limited food options. So, we need to figure out a way to get creative here.

    Here are ALL of the things she can have.

    * Apples
    * Pears
    * Steamed white fish
    * Steamed vegetables
    * Sea Salt
    * Red Pepper
    * Garlic

    That's it. No butter. No oils. No other spices.

    So...any ideas? icon_smile.gif

    Wow, she is very limited, and personally I have no idea what to tell you, but I noticed you also posted this in Recipe Requests and have had a few suggestions there. Good luck to both you and your wife.

    have you tried doing saleds with apples??
    or crushing the different fruit over the fish to add flavor??
    if you can have lemon juice for a spicy fish cut up the pepers let them soke in lemon or even lime juice then put that over the fish.

    I too am on a limited diet. we do alot of fuite juice for flavor. idk if you can add fruit juice to fish, let it soke for an hour then cook it. that way you get the flavor with out having the other juices. its not easy, I wish you luck and hope you can find a few different things.
    ooh see if theres fresh herbs she can have too. ad bay leaves, or time, or oher things that might help.
