    Hello,

I just added to my public recipes "Shav-Sorrel Soup With Hard Boiled Egg."

I know this is not exactly a very popular Jewish style dish, but for me it is very tasty and I enjoy it, especially in summer!

It used to be a very popular summer dish in our Jewish family! I never really acquired a taste for it as a kid....but have come to enjoy it as an adult. Thanks for sharing!

My mother used to drink it from a glass and lightened, I recall, with an egg

Schav is sold prepared in bottles.

There is a big difference in taste between home made Shav (using sorrel leaves) and ones that come in bottles. However, I sometimes buy them reluctantly...
