I had a Russian friend who made a superb cheesecake type dish. I cannot remember what it was called but it was lemon flavoured, cheesy and had raisins or sultanas in it. If anybody knows what I am talking about please let me know. The recipe would be gratefully received but a name would give me something to go on in my search.

See if either of these will work for you, Jee:
    Paskha (Russian Cheesecake)

    Russian Coffee Can Cake (Kulich)

They're clickable links. If you give either one of them a try, recipe reviews are very much appreciated. Welcome to the forums. It's nice to meet a new friend. icon_smile.gif

Did this have a pastry/dough type base and the filling within it? Not a really thin crust like American cheesecake?
