When do the recipes show up in our cookbooks?

It sometimes takes a day or so for all of the pages to be in sync. The recipes HAVE been transferred and do show you as the chef. They should show up in your list of recipes soon. I will be checking to make sure they do. icon_wink.gif

Did any of you try a recipe that was a big or pleasant surprise, in anyway....flavor, texture, combination of ingredients used, method or technique?.

I was only able to sample 7 this time, but have several more I'm dying to try!

I love learning new things and mikekey's Sesame-Ginger Asparagus and Tofu Stir-Fry had a new-to-me technique for firmer tofu. Pressing it for 30 minutes is a super trick I'll use again!

I was impressed by JustLori's Pirates Bounty Bread Pudding. Not only was it delicious, but it included instructions for making candied ginger! I thought that inclusion was an imaginative and put the recipe over the top in my book.

Thank you, Susie! I love making bread pudding and my family always expects one at our Christmas dinners. This one just put together a lot of my favorite things! My favorite part was the rum raisins. Here's a couple of pics from my two trial runs...

This poor little guy was a Pirate Orphan, no takers. icon_cry.gif I think I might have discouraged folks by my intro, which I've just changed. icon_biggrin.gif

I'm posting pictures anyways because it was actually my favorite of the three I submitted! The best part is the coconut chicken pieces, which would make a great appetizer by themselves, along with the drizzling sauce. Quick and easy... very much like coconut shrimp except it's chicken.

And a rather bad picture (flash failed to go off), but it's a bit more colorful.

Thank you to the hosts and helpers! And can't possibly forget the makers and tasters. Thanks for making this a really enjoyable contest - and looking forward to the next one!!!

Baby Kato, thank you for the photo on my Chicken Stir Fry.

On one of my recipes, I created a cake, and forgot to add flour to the list of ingredients. icon_redface.gif Now I'll have to go back and fix it. I think that is why people didn't want to try it, and the one review I got was poor. I think if I had included the flour people would have been more tempted to try it.
