So I got home from work, and I went upstairs to change my clothes, and who did I find sitting in the bedroom window, just enjoying the sunshine?

(If you guessed Minerva Kitty, you'd be right. icon_wink.gif )

So I said to her "well, hello, you, what are you doing up here?" She didn't answer me, though she did get up and start rubbing against me to get petted.

Well, it seems that SOMEONE big and jealous heard the exchange, because first, he stood downstairs and said "WOOF!" and then we heard him come thundering up the stairs.

I told the kitty to "quick, hide!" and I even held the drape away from the window so she could get behind it, but apparently she was feeling brave. Or pugilistic. (Isn't that a great word?)

She stood her ground (the top of the dresser where he can't reach her anyway) and she HISSSSSED at him.

    He looked at her.

I said "leave it!" and . . . he looked at me!

So I gave him a treat, and told him to "out!" so . . . he turned around and (slowly) walked out of the room.

So I gave him another treat and the cat said "gggrrrrrooooowwwwwllll" and he looked at her and I said "leave it!" and . . . he looked at me again! icon_biggrin.gif

Another treat, and I told him to "WAIT" while I changed my clothes, and by golly if he didn't just wander off (which is okay - he just wasn't to cross the threshold into the bedroom, which he didn't).

Sooo I gave him another treat and we went downstairs and I took him out to the back yard while I planted lettuce (yes, I know I'm late).

And my husband went upstairs to get the cat, and she scratched him for his trouble. icon_rolleyes.gif

What a good boy Jarly. And Kris - pugilistic - I'm impressed. icon_smile.gif

I don't think you are late planting your lettuce - Minnesota is still getting snow. My niece in Oklahoma planted her lettuce this past week.

Your poor hubby! I'm sure he has a complex by now.
It can't be easy living with Animal Trainer Extraordinaire and have the same animals treat you with disdain. rotfl.gif

Sorry but I can't help but picture it and giggle icon_wink.gif

I don't know, Connie - I hope I get some decent lettuce before it bolts. icon_smile.gif

And K-9 - I'm not sure I'd go quite that far. After all, I'm still ahead of him in the pet-cause emergency room visits. icon_rolleyes.gif
