I thought that first recipe sounded great until I started looking at quantities. 1/4 lb of shrimp won't feed 4 people at my house.

I said in my review that I used a pound of shrimp.

Thanks but when I see a recipe that is obviously wonky, I don't even bother with reading reviews. HOWEVER your pic of that recipe is gorgeous!!!

Thanks for the kind endorsement! I must admit that I haven't made it in years and had nothing to do with creating it.

Interesting story... I got that recipe out of an old cigar box I bought in a thrift store many years ago filled with personal mementos and photos of a woman named "Ruth." It was handwritten on an old index card yellowed with age. Thanks Ruth whoever you were.

By far the most often made pasta dish I've ever made is Southwestern Baked Spaghetti
I never get tired of it.

This is going on the Try for Sweetie's Lunch list. He's working out of town right now. I'm constantly on the lookout for something I can make ahead for him to take with him. Looks like a winner here. icon_smile.gif

    I feel so boring!

My all time favorite way to have pasta:

    slice a few garlic cloves
toss them in some olive oil
fry the garlic till it's browned and crispy

boil your pasta, save a cup of the cooking water
drain the pasta, toss it with the garlic and oil, throw some fresh basil over top if you have it and a little grated cheese

ta da you have pasta aglio e olio
