DH and I both really enjoyed our sandwiches last night (pulled pork on an onion poppy seed ciabatta roll) so we're having them again tonight. There's just enough pork left, so we're cleaning out the fridge too, I may (or may not) do some oven fries on the side.

No clue just yet. I'll BBL.

We are having terrible storms. School has been canceled.
I hope we don't lose power.

    ...............(drum roll)......................LOBSTAH!........................................

A friend (indeed) invited us for dinner to meet her guests from Tasmania. I'm taking Kerfuffle's Italian Potato Salad, Gorgonzola, and Orange Balsamic Dressing.

Pretty severe up there; and many places totally under water. Stay safe

Lady #3: Just got back in town. Making a cauliflower and leek soup from another site. Also, fresh greens from my garden topped with a mix of heirloom tomatoes and fresh mozz w/basil vinaigrette

Me: Whole grilled trout, stuffed with orange and fresh herbs; red spuds on the grill topped with chives and greek yogurt (vs sour cream); and, salad greens, cucumber, black olives and a orange vinaigrette.

Need to use up a few things from the fridge (yogurt, cucumber, orange)

I am trying something for my crock pot... I am making stuffed cabbage but I didn't precook the rice or the cabbage leaves before stuffing and cooking

I figured they're going to be in there for 10 hours, there's enough liquid, time and heat to cook them so why precook?

I put the temp at low for 4 hours then it'll just hold, (so hopefully the tomato sauce won't scorch)

1lb ground turkey, 1 egg, minced onion, salt, pepper, white pepper, dill and I didn't measure how much rice... what I think looked like 'enough' (two handfulls)

I used a large can of tomato puree added enough water to thin it out along with sugar, salt, onion and garlic powder, white pepper, a little more dill and a splash of red wine vinegar

wrapped the meat mixture with the raw cabbage leaves, sunk them down in the crock pot, to make sure they're completely covered by the liquid.
(I had cabbage left over, so I just quartered that and stuck it on top, I like cooked cabbage so I'll eat the leftovers)

I'll let y'all how how it turns out

Something with a chicken breast and broccoli. I made the pizza the other night, and need to use the chicken and broccoli. I'm leaning toward an old Pampered Chef recipe - Chicken Broccoli Braid. We shall see.

Yep, it is bad. Our mayor declared a State of Emergency. We got 7" of rain.
Some folks did not fare as well as we did. At least we didn't 'lose power this time

Tonight Mediterranean Champagne Chicken With Artichoke Hearts and Olives is excellent and company worthy. I serve with farfallini pasta

It's cold and still raining here. I'll not complain about the rain since we still need it so badly, but I am sick and tired of highs in the 30s!

Son requested Tater Tot Casserole - I'll serve with applesauce and lima beans. I also have some black bananas that need to be made into muffins. He'll love the carb over load! lol
