    Have you really ever thought just how much of our food gets stuffed? from eggs to tomatoes. Vegetables of all kinds to meats and even fruits with an amazing array of delicious stuffing mixes.

    Its been going on since before the Romans invaded Britain - its a great way of stretching a meal and adds so much more flavor so please share your recipe ideas and tips here in this months forum

    This is a wonderful topic and the possibilities are endless! These are a few of the things I like to stuff.

    Stuffed artichokes.

    Stuffed turkey breast.

    Stuffed peppers.

    Stuffer mirlitons.

    I'd be hard pressed to come up with recipes because I just cook. I'm trying to think about this and hopefully can make it work. Might take me a while. Thanks for liking my stuff. icon_smile.gif

    It's a great way to use bell peppers, or any large pepper like anchoes or anaheim. Anaheim is my favorite. Most of my stuffings are based with rice rather than bread. We grew up eating rice almost daily. It's a southern thing.

    How about a couple of my favorites

    Stuffed zucchini or cubanelle peppers.

    A mix of sausage, onions, tomato, bread crumbs, and cheese. Delicious.
    Or go Mexican, with chorizo, corn, black olives, tomato. They can make a main course or a side dish.

    These are great grilled, but also can be done in the oven

    This is vegetarian. Mushrooms, tomato, corn, red peppers, Italian bread crumbs, olives, a Mexican blend of cheddar and jack cheese. These are before they are cooked. Some cheese is in the mix, the rest will be on top to melt at the end of cooking.

    This has a mix of chorizo, fresh tomatoes, onions, fresh bread crumbs, and cheddar and monterey jack cheese. You could add olives, corn, or just about anything you want.

    The first looked better after it was cooked, but I wanted to show both.

    Thx, yeah you can really stuff it with anything. Sometimes I use ham, beef, sausage, veggies, etc. Sometimes just cheese and bread crumbs too.

    Love those pictures Sarasota - makes my mouth water, have had provider problems until this morning, so am a bit late seeing it. stuffing vegetables like that is so so simple and easy on the pocket as well!
