I have read that you can eat too much flax seed meal in one day, so does anyone know if you can eat a larger size one or 2 in one day?
How much is too much?
some people say they make a much larger one, slice and toast in a toaster oven, just wondering if you can get too much of a good thing, and has anyone on this site eaten more than 1 in a day?

It depends on how much fiber you have overall in your diet. If two of these give you loose stools, then it's too much. Two of them would be app 19.4 g fiber, and the recommendation for women is 25 g a day and for men 38 g Most of us do not get enough fiber during the day.

I don't think it's possible to get too much fiber, unless you are eating tree bark, maybe. If you have gastrointestinal distress, it's probably because of a sudden increase in fiber that your intestinal flora are not equipped to handle. Work up the amount slowly to give your body time to adjust.

the thing I am concerned about is the omega 3's in the flax meal, can you get too much per day?
How much of these muffins or breads do people actually consume per day?
anyone here who eats a lot of this per day, how do you have it?

"To answer your question, the short answer is no, you cannot take too much omega-3s. There is, however, one exception, for individuals who take anti-coagulant drugs or have blood coagulation problems. They probably should avoid fish oil supplements since omega-3s can affect blood clotting."

You probably should be discussing this with your doctor. He/She may be able to refer you to a nutritionist. It is impossible to say that one muffin or two muffins will be good or bad for you without knowing your entire diet, and that's not something anyone here is equipped to evaluate. It does not seem that the omega-3s in flaxseed meal is all that available,

the omega 3's are available if you grind it to make the muffins or breads.
I agree that fiber is important, and I ate 1 muffin today and already feel the difference it is making in my hands, they don't hurt as much.

Another thing to consider is it's the balance between omega 3 and omega 6 fats that is the issue. You do need professional support for this.
