    People with smooth-top stoves unsuitable to can on use them, friend.

    You can get a commercial quality hotplate from your local restaurant supply store or online.

    That's great to hear! I have an electric stove but the canner is proving to be a bit much for the burner. I've had to replace it twice in the last 3-4 years.

    You can also use the side burner on your BBQ if the weather permits. Lotus.

    I wish I had that nice of a grill!!! I found something a little disturbing the other day. I went to use my burner and the drip plate looked scorched. icon_eek.gif
