    I wanted to add a new recipe, so just did a search for carrot orange salad.
    Here are the 226 results.
    http://www.food.com/recipe-finder/all/carrot-orange-salad

    I wanted to make sure my recipe wasn't already posted, so I did a sifter
    search 'filter for ingredient' using cinnamon. It said no results for cinnamon?
    So I looked at random recipes (that had Moroccan in the title) from the 226
    results above, and most called for cinnamon.

    So I did a new sift for 'filter by ingredient'. This time I asked about cumin.
    Again I got no results. But both the following recipes are among the 226,
    and both call for cumin.

    Moroccan Orange-Blossom Scented Carrot Salad
    Moroccan Spiced Carrot Salad

    I'm guessing that the 'filter for ingredient' sift option either does not work
    at all anymore, or perhaps looks only in the title. Either way, no one is
    going to ever be able to determine whether their new recipe might be a
    duplicate.

    And gone is the chance to fine-tune a recipe search based on ingredients.

    Hi Peggy,

    somtimes I used the sifer (filtering the ingredients) to find recipes I reviewed.
    It found out that starting from the reviewed ones (http://share.food.com/community/awalde/reviews.esi?userid=41494921) I can't use the sifter
    On the other side using the photos (http://share.food.com/community/awalde/portfolio.esi?userid=41494921) I can use the sifter.

    I tried 3 different ways to search in the photos (one with the search bar and 2 with the sifter.
    Here the results:
    After searching all my photos for apple (as an example) with the search bar I get 49 recipes;
    using the sifter/filter by ingredient and "apple" I get only 34;
    while using the sifter/main ingredient/fruit/apples I get 56!

    I imagine that using the "filter by ingredient" only the exact ingredients can be found ("appe"), but not derivates (as "sweet apple").

    Sometime I had difficulties to find reviewed recipes again, and I would be happy for more suggestions.
    How do you fiter (sifter?) your reviews?

    Peggy,

    Not sure why those sifter searches aren't working correctly. I've alerted the team.

    Awalde,

    Regrettably, the sifter does not work within reviews. You can, however, search the set using the keyword search at the top of your reviews. This will bring up any recipes with the keyword in the title, but unfortunately cannot search what is said within a review. Hope this helps clarify. Let me know if you have any more questions.

    Hi awalde wave.gif
    Like Mary said, the sifter doesn't work at all for reviews. Bummer.
    It only comes up (by key word search) if the word/ingredient is in the title. icon_sad.gif
