In the recipe it says in the ingredients use 3/4 cup of half and half, I haven't a clue what that is, can you help me?
I have just decided to start cooking, I am a late starter, I am nearly 70. I don't enjoy cooking, but I thought it would be something different. I love soup, so decided to look for a simple recipe to sdtart with and got stuck at the ingredients.
I wondered if it meant half and half water and miljk, but I didn't want to guess.

Half-and-half is half milk and half cream. It's sold in the dairy section, or you could just use half milk and half cream in the recipe.
