I fell in love with a recipe in a Creamette booklet that was basically a homemade bbq sauce, cut up hot dogs and wheel pasta. Even though I have scoured my mom's extensive collection I have been unable to locate the booklet with the recipe.
If this rings a bell, if you have a booklet of Creamette recipes from the 60's or 70's, and are willing to share it i would be most appreciative!

This is one I had copied in my old archives, hand written recipes.
This was the base recipe, but I used smoked sausage vs hot dogs
But this was the original; and I do have using wagon wheel pasta.
2 uncooked wagon wheel pasta
8 hot dogs, cut into small rounds
1 small onion, minced
1 can Campbells tomato soup
1/2 cup water, I used chicken broth
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
salt to taste
pepper to taste
Saute the onions in the butter, then add the hot dogs, and saute until cooked through.
Add the soup, seasoning and heat through.
Toss with the cooked pasta, season with additional salt and pepper.
Hope this might be close.

I remember creamettes. My mom used to serve them instead of potatoes or rice. She served them with what ever gravy we were having. Good for sucking in like spagetti. Got a few eye rolls for that!
