Great idea! But when you say kitchen appliance, do you mean a nifty little egg separator, a whisk, etc. ,or something electrical?

We should think of having a small kitchen appliance swap. We all have something we bought and rarely used or never used. You know, things we just HAD to have and put aside. (just a thought).

Thank you, Lori (and everyone) icon_biggrin.gif
This was my first swap ever, and I enjoyed it very much! It sounds as tho everyone had a great time.
I agree with pammyowl... a "Kitchen Utensil Swap" could be a lot of fun, and pocket book friendly. (Our local $ store carries almost anything imaginable) icon_smile.gif Maybe plan around Father's Day in June, and try to lure in some men to participate. They could swap grilling crappola! (tongs, spatulas, grill brushes, etc) LOL icon_lol.gif Maybe make it a $10 swap (not including shipping). Most of us could afford that. And if you have something at home to swap... it's free!!!
    Just a thought!
    Have a great night all.

icon_idea.gif Pammyowl and Rosie, I was thinking of non-electrical items like a Cookie Press or Decorator Cookie Gun or Mandolin...etc. Things we really like to use or things we never use anymore. Rosie...I am so glad you enjoyed your first swap! They are so much fun!!!

Sounds good! I have a mandolin I never use that I would love to swap! More than a few items that are just taking up space, actually! This would be fun!

Oh, you girls... that would make for a terrific swap! I have multiples of kitchen items ever since hubby and I moved in together, then his mom moved in with us (3 households worth, and some never even used). A swap would be the answer! There have been many items that I wish I had, but never think to pick one up at the store. Then when I read a recipe that calls for a garlic press, or mandolin, etc... I panic! (I have gotten both of those since... but you know what I mean).
I have some brand new, never used:
dish towels, trivets, boxed knife sets, baking pans, measuring cups, boxed coffee mugs, etc...

"YOO-HOO... Lori... " wave.gif I feel that you're going to have to work your magic again! (I'm addicted)! icon_biggrin.gif

Got my package from Pammyowl yesterday, great package......
A few books from Pillsbury, one on cooking with cereal and TWO on recipes from Wisconsin, Looking forward to reading them all.
    Thanks, Pammyowl.

Have you updated hon! Love Pillsbury cookbooks and need to look up the one cooking with cereal. Always hear about using corn flakes for casseroles and things but would be neat to see what else could be used. Might just have to order that cookbook for myself. icon_smile.gif Regional cookbooks are wonderful, great reads. Nice job pammy!

    OMG, Lori... wave.gif
I had a counter attaching "meat grinder" years ago, and have been looking for an old fashioned one ever since (mine got lost in a move of residence). You know what I'm talking about... the kind that is heavy, bulky (football-ish size), silver and you have to hand crank it by hand?... I would love that!!!

And I agree on the title of "I had to have this... but..."

yeppers thats the exact meat grinder I have. we used it once to grind some chuck for hamburger and it didnt fit on our counter right. It was getting frustrating because as soon as we got going it would fall off the counter. icon_redface.gif
