I think Cindi J may have gotten hammered with snow.

Our amounts keep going up (8-10 inches as of 10 min ago)-how is everyone else doing with this last (I hope) big blast of winter?

Still just windy here in SE WI. Storm to arrive 3-6pm, in time to make rush hour a mess. Supposed to be bad overnight. However, total accumulation was raised to 3-6 inches. Not a major storm in my book and far better than many areas actually getting hammered.

    Stay safe everyone.

THOSE WINTER STORMS SOUND TERRIBLE! Cold, snow, ice and just misery. I'm glad I am in south Florida. We are expecting a "Florida cold front" this weekend. Highs may be only in the mid 60's, lows in the upper 40's. Don't laugh! This week we had highs in the upper 80's. All kidding aside, please stay safe and warm. DH & I are most thankful that we live here.

40 here for a temp & right now..wet ground from last nights rain & a fine mist in the air.
The rest of the week shows snow 'showers' but temps too warm to make it last.

School was canceled in many counties here in Georgia due to the roads being so wet. We have many, many dirt/clay roads here in rural Georgia and the school buses have difficulty with slipping and sliding. We've had about 12 inches of rain in February. Many rivers are at flood stage or just below. Now we have a wind advisory and it's supposed to get VERY cold this weekend. I'm ready for Spring!

Rain early evening followed by from 8 - 12" of snow overnight and throughout tomorrow. I've had enough fun now. icon_sad.gif

Stay warm, dry and safe folks. If you don't absolutely have to drive - don't.

It has begun to snow and with the wind it is blowing around. Supposed to be the heavy, wet stuff. Yuck.

It started here around 3pm. Raining ice cubes. There was so much slushy ice on the road it almost threw me into a bank on my way home from work! icon_eek.gif Icky nasty cold and icy.

We did get it pretty good...but not as bad as predicted. 8 inches overnight, sleeting here now, they say another 1/2-1 inch more before it's done. The winds were terrible...drifts are up over the hood of the car, some drifts are over 4 feet deep!! DH had to go to work last night - had no trouble but was sent home at 3 coz it was getting bad, his normal 45 minute commute was 1-1/2 hours most at a death defying speed of 30mph!

I am sooooo ready for spring! Thanks for checking in on me Dib's!

It started for us before noon. I left about 12:30 and worked from home the rest of the day. It must have started earlier at home, as there were at least two inches of snow here already. Supposedly we will have snow falling until Thursday, so it is not going to be fun.

    Good Morning!

As of midnight we had 7 inches of new stuff on the ground. Another 2-ish inches expected today-I don't think the flurries are expected to be finished until tomorrow morning.

    Little d is thrilled icon_lol.gif

Forecasters were wrong. Instead of the expected 3-6 inches we are in the 7-12" before we are finished. Right now we have about 8" on the ground but it is supposed to snow throughout the day. It is the heavy, wet stuff. Most schools in the county and surrounding counties are closed.

Apparently the storm liked the neighborhood and decided to hang around longer than expected. We don't mind sharing so it can move away any time it wants!

There was one tragedy.............a semi carrying 45,000 lbs of liquid chocolate overturned. icon_eek.gif It took hours to upright it as they could not off load the chocolate.

Sorry about your snow Ducky but could you please give me the exact location of that semi? I'm revving up my high speed broom & packing a straw for a looooooooooong slurp of that cargo icon_lol.gif
