When was the last time you cleaned your coffeemaker? It may be time!

I did it yesterday..... not sure it makes the coffee taste better as promised I think those built up crusty oils made for a good tasting cup o' joe!

I have a one cup system, Senseo, and I had never taken apart the spout until yesterday. Frankly, I didn't know you could. I rinse it out all the time.
So it had years of caked on coffee residue in there. ACK!

I clean mine 1x a month. Vinegar 1 cycle. I also make sure to clean all the parts good with a toothbrush.
    A definite must

I don't use our coffee machine because we wake up at different times. I use a french press which gets cleaned each use. Don now and then complains that the coffee maker isn't working well so one of us will do the vinegar thing. Probably 4 or 5 times a year. If I were using it it would like get flushed out more often.

We have two French presses. I don't drink coffee, but we have a Cuisinart electric kettle we use to boil the water for tea and coffee. Love the thing, you can heat to a specific temperature and it will keep it warm for you. We have really hard water, so I'm sure it needs a descaling, thanks for reminding me!

Not often enough! icon_redface.gif But I am going to do that today since I have been shamed into it. icon_lol.gif

Cleaned mine two weeks ago. Hard water build up is the bigger issue for us - vinegar is the best cleaner ever!
