    [Lovely Early Tulips

    Tulip 'Stresa'

Those are gorgeous tulips, averybird. Every Mother's Day for 10 years, I received beautiful tulip plants from each of my 4 kids which we planted them in our ornamental garden. I was so sad to leave that tulip garden behind when we sold that house and moved out to the country 6 years ago. We have some tulips in our current garden, but I still miss all those lovely tulips.

That's such a good idea. I would love if my kids did something like that instead of the flowers that last a few days and die. Maybe I'll hint that to my husband, since he still has to help them shop for me. icon_biggrin.gif

    Spiced Pecans #343581

Due to your beautiful photo of these nuts, I went to the recipe and saved it to my cookbooks after reading the recipe. Although your review is there showing the stars with it, the recipe itself didn't show the stars. I thought you might want to know if the computer doesn't correct itself so you could let CS know about it.

Oh NorthwestGal, I bet that garden was magnificent! I can only imagine how hard it must have been to leave it. We gardeners do get attached to our plants! I know I sure do. icon_biggrin.gif

Oh, yes. It really was difficult to leave that garden behind. My husband built a greenhouse on that property too, so I could try orchids and other tropical flowers year-round. But I wasn't very successful with the tropical flowers, so I used the greenhouse for vegetables. I miss the greenhouse, too.
