I'm thinking like BK today -- A bit sad & nostalgic that PAC is nearly over. I'll miss reading your reviews & admiring the pics you've posted of them. Even the little things get taken for granted ... like my "signature twister" for example. Susie made it for me just before PAC started & it took me a while to remember it w/ea post. My fellow Co-Hosts helped w/gentle reminders until it became a habit. Now It's become 2nd nature to me & my posts will feel "naked" without it.

Susie actually made me 2 signature images. She remembered that my favorite time of year here in Iceland is when the Lupina bloom & cover Iceland w/a "carpet of blue" exactly like the Texas Bluebonnets. I haven't used it during PAC, but the Lupina will start appearing next month, so I think you should see it too.

How serendipitous, Rosie. Just yesterday, someone on TV mentioned the "I found a Peanut" song. My son said he didn't know that. So I tried to sing the first verse, and he said it sound liked the Meatball Song. And there we sat in our living room, singing the Meatball Song. I think that was the first time I heard that song since he was in pre-school.

Too funny that you'd mention it just a day later.

I’ll be here w/you for the next several hours to record your last minute PAC completions & drool over any pics that may accompany them before the Orphanage begins tomorrow. I won’t be “sitting on” the thread all that time, but will be checking it regularly.

Would someone explain the orphanage portion? I don't think I've ever done much in participation of it and can't remember much about it.

It works much like a preemie session. Adoptions are from a posted list of "orphaned" babies and are for a single recipe.

You know what icon_question.gif I think I've set a new standard for being banished to the Time-Out Chair. icon_redface.gif icon_redface.gif I fell asleep sitting here at my PC after a bit of a sleepless night. icon_redface.gif icon_redface.gif I see both Susie & NWG have visited the thread while I napped. It's good to know my Co-Hosts "have my back" even while I nap. icon_redface.gif icon_redface.gif

It starts tomorrow, Carrol. We'll see today if there are any more reports of completed adoptions before the Orphanage starts tomorrow.

The orphans are chefs that were tagged during PAC, but, for whatever reason, their recipes were not made. I always miss the orphanage myself. I am not fast enough.

Susie D and twissis are right....the Orphanage opens tomorrow, at 9am (eastern), CarrolJ. And players should keep in mind that all Orphanage adoption requests are posted in the Orphanage thread, not here.

But don't worry about getting lost. Because sometime tomorrow morning, I will post here (in the PAC Main Thread) the link, to help everyone easily make their way to the new Orphanage thread.

This cute little "Waving Sun" belongs to pammyowl, but I'm using him today to say our time is over for now ... and ... Sjaumst a eftir = See you later in Icelandic. icon_smile.gif
