I have a friend who is a host here, and she sent me an email saying the site will not let her go beyond the homepage. I sent her a link to a game she is hosting, and she could see the page, but couldn't post . She is using firefox and uses a MAC. What browser do you reccomend? What might the problem be? She cannot sigh in even. Thanks!

Oh, and she has no trouble signing in anywhere else, just on this site. She is using an add blocker, but has never had trouble before.

Suggest she clear cache and cookies, in case something has gotten hung up. That's my first step when things go wonky and seem to be limited to my computer.

It's not just her. I can't sign in either. Everything I try to do sends me back to the sign in screen.

I was having a similar problem yesterday. As it turned out, even though I was NOT showing signed in, I actually was. I found this out buy putting my cursor over the "talk & tips" button.....the drop down would appear, and I could proceed. The next window that came up showed me as signed in.

I have tried clicking on topics in the talk & tips drop-down, but it still doesn't show that I am signed in. I can't get to my cookbook or save a recipe. Resetting my password didn't help. Any other ideas about what I could try?

I wonder how you can even post here? She can't do anything! She has been a member since 2008, which is why this is puzzling.

Yes, its strange. I can navigate to my profile, which would suggest I'm signed in, and I can see reviews I've written there. But I can't get to recipes I've saved or save new ones. Today I can't search for a recipe and turn beyond the first page of results. Yesterday I couldn't even do a search.

The only other thing that I can even think of would to be to reset your system to an earlier date....like yesterday, if you were not having this problem then. Sometimes deleting cookies/clearing out your cache just doesn't clear out a browser hang up. Other than that, I can think of nothing else you can do, as the problerm might actually reside with Food.com.

I have not had this problem using three computers, three browsers on two of them, one browser on the third. So it's not a universal problem.

Still, please let Mary know what browser/version you are using. Often problems are limtied to just one browser.

If you have another browser on your computer, try it and see if you still have the problem. I don't know whether this site is yet adapted for IE10. I know a lot of sites I visit are still not compatible with IE8, so I wonder whether that is the issue.

I use chrome, I hate IE anything, and Firefox is not a favorite, either. Because Mia uses a Mac, I am no help at all as I use a PC.
Hopefully Mary can help tomorrow! icon_smile.gif

I tried using Chrome since I have it on the computer and it didn't work either. I have been using IE 10 for a while and it worked on this site till yesterday afternoon -- I had even used it in the morning.
