It is probably a good thing you didn't click the link, whenever you decline, ignore or un-friend someone, it is kept annonymous, facebook does not alert people of that, the link could have led you to some kind of malware or spyware or virus. Facebook doesn't alert people if you don't accept or un-friend them.

My DD#1 forced me to join when she left for college. Now I am on all of the time. I must have a different group/type of friends than everybody else b/c I don't have drama. Well, except from my DD LOL!! We all just usually post funny things or gripe about work or send encouragement when someone is down. I also don't generally friend anyone I don't know. I don't play any of the games. Not interested. I have every game notification blocked.

I initially joined to spy on my young-adult kids, and that's worked out well (although they know I spy....heh). Plus, I've reconnected with some HS friendsand others, but it's kind of weird.

Why do some people from your past send you friend requests if they never then interact with you in any way? Is it because they want to access your photos and history, or because they want you to access theirs?

If I send a friend request, I always send a message saying hello and whatever.

Initially my Grandson got on and helped me get on....Never do anything with it....rarely go there now.
