I don't really understand that either as she is usually such a tough little girl. The treats when she is close to Molly don't really work. Zoey won't take them. I'm sure she will be fine - just need to give her a little time. To have done it right, we should have had the dogs meet at a neutral place and then bring them back to the house, but we only have one car here, so wouldn't have been able to do that anyway. It was dark when we got home, so I wouldn't have been able to leave my DH at like the dog park while I ran home to get the other girls. Probably would have helped though. Oh wow, aren't you sorry now that you asked.

My guys won't take treats if they are stressed or at threshold. If Zoey isn't being aggressive with Molly then she is likely a bit stressed and put out. Likely be fine in a few days but I like seeing the updates.

PS. It sounds like Molly is handling herself nicely.

Thanks K9. Molly is doing amazingly. We didn't get her up moving around enough yesterday as she didn't want to go to bed last night. I pushed the twin beds together and she slept on the bed next to DH's in her bed. She's maybe just doesn't want to be away from her dad.

So glad to hear this Connie! It sound like Dad is her security blanket right now. She will settle in very quickly I'm sure.

Thanks so much Kris, K9 and Sara. You all mean so much to me. If not for you I'm not sure we would have been brave enough to adopt Molly. She is such a joy. Also found out that she is a toy poodle, not a miniature. They changed it on her papers and on the web site. Zoey is back to her own naughty self. Instead of being worried, I should have been enjoying the quiet. She has been leaving Molly alone though, which is a good thing. Thanks again all of you for going through this journey with us.

Best wishes on your new baby. I hope you have many, many years of happiness with her. I'm glad Zoey is adapting. She knows she's loved, she was just, as they say in Georgia, "showing out". I haven't had the heart to even look at another poodle since losing Candy. I'm happy for you.

Thanks Jneen. I still miss Maggie as much as ever, but just knowing we were able to save Molly helps a little. Molly will never replace Maggie, just as another dog could never replace Candy, but they all have special places in our hearts.

Molly is adjusting so well and bratty little Zoey is doing great. Guess she's decided Molly isn't a threat.
