How do you remember all that stuff K9? I had forgotten about Mom's dog. Zoey didn't have any problem with her, so I don't understand why she is having such a problem with Molly. I guess she did already know Princess though as I had taken Zoey into Moms a few times when Mom and Princess were living in Mom's house. Zoey has been in the bedroom probably 3/4 of the day. I've tried bringing her out a few times but as soon as i let go of her she runs right back there. She did eat supper tonight and a few times today she got pretty close to Molly. She even sat on the arm of my DH's chair when he was holding Molly. I've been letting my DH hold Molly most of the time as Zoey has always been really jealous of any dog I have on my lap. Works better anyway because my DH has a really bad back and sits most of the day;. I'm up and down a dozen times and busy around the house. Zoey almost acts like she is afraid of Molly. I don't really understand that either as she is usually such a tough little girl. The treats when she is close to Molly don't really work. Zoey won't take them. I'm sure she will be fine - just need to give her a little time. To have done it right, we should have had the dogs meet at a neutral place and then bring them back to the house, but we only have one car here, so wouldn't have been able to do that anyway. It was dark when we got home, so I wouldn't have been able to leave my DH at like the dog park while I ran home to get the other girls. Probably would have helped though. Oh wow, aren't you sorry now that you asked.
Not in the least bit sorry!
My guys won't take treats if they are stressed or at threshold. If Zoey isn't being aggressive with Molly then she is likely a bit stressed and put out. Likely be fine in a few days but I like seeing the updates.
PS. It sounds like Molly is handling herself nicely.
