I found a missing person Friday. The outcome was not good. Faint hearted may not want to read.
Friday morning me and a friend heard about this missing girl. Later that afternoon we needed to take some remodeling material to his burn pile so we went to his rural property.
We got to the land and backed up to the pile and there was material there that we did not put there. From a gut feeling we got out and started to look around, I lifted up this object and saw what appeared to be something wrapped in a black trash bag, I reached down and squeezed and felt of it, I knew right then what it was. I looked up at my friend and sayed "Hey, I have a foot here" He looked over and said "Come on man". I told him I was serious. I uncovered more and saw her legs, rear-end and part up her back, all in tact and wrapped in black trash bags. I heard my friend behind me mutter "Oh My God" I lowered the material, stood up and said "Call 911, we found her"
The rest of the afternoon was dealing with Police and a Texas Ranger. The man in question (her boyfriend) was arrested and charged with murder and sits on a $500,000 bond right now.
Here is the news story - http://www.kten.com/story/21093437/bond-set-for-suspect-in-death-of-sherman-woman
My only regret - I wish somehow or someway that she could have still been alive when we found her, my heart goes out to her family.
Edited - I felt I needed to change some details just in case someone had the idea of sending this thread to the news. I didn't reveal anything that the police don't already know and gave the the OK to talk about, but, just in case, I don't want her or his family to read about it this way.

 Oh my gosh! Horrible!
I guess you'll be asked to come to the trial when it goes to court.

Wow... Chip... wow... is all I can think of right away
how heart wrenching! I thought for a half a second when I read the subject that it'd be an old zaar friend or something, never even occured to me that it'd be such a horrific story
sorry this happened to you, and my prayers to her child and her family

Oh no, don't feel sorry for me, if anything for her kids and family, they have 2 kids. I have never been bothered (like most people) by bodies, she isn't the first one for me, it doesn't effect me like it does most people, don't know why, it just doesn't. My friend on the other hand, is having a hard time sleeping etc. He can't quit looking at the article in the paper.
And yes, when it goes to trial, me and my friend are the only witnesses, so we will have to be there.

How horrific!!! My god that poor girl. My heart goes out to her family and I hope the boyfriend rots first in jail and then in hell.
Maybe your friend can get counseling. It is an awful thing to have witnessed. Some people are less able to deal with it than others - he would likely benefit by talking to a professional.

I don't know what to say. That is so sad that someone would do that. So sad for her family.
You did the right thing. Good for you.

There is no doubt in my mind he will go to jail K9, the evidence is too overwhelming. As far as Hell goes, that is up to the good Lord.
I am just glad we had that "gut" feeling and decided to look. The unthinkabel - If we didn't look and days later we set the pile on fire, there was not enough "stuff" to, um, well to put it nice, destroy everything. It could have been worse.
I am scheduled to talk with local news anchors sometime today or so, I do not know exactly what I am going to say, but I want to ease her family's pain as much as I can without upsetting his family too much, it is a delema to say the least. My partner in the finding wants nothing to do with the media so I have to keep him annonymous. He was there with me and the police, he is hiding nothing, just doesn't want media attention.

I'm sure the family is deep in denial. Who wants to think that their son/brother/cousin could do something like that.
From reading your story, it doesn't seem like this guy went out of his way to cover things up. Like he wanted to be caught.

I have to agree with Sarasota, OMG does pretty much say it all.
That poor girl's family will have to live with suffering
the rest of their lives.
And the suspect's family living with the denial that, that
man caused an innocent person life to end.

First of all my heart goes out to the young lady's friends and family.
Chip I'm so glad you decided to follow your gut instinct and check it out.
Her family won't have to go for years wondering and now will be able to grieve.

Such a tragedy. That poor girl and her family.
As you said, Chip, the only good in this is that you and your friend
had and followed your 'gut feeling'. This way the girl's family has answers.
As for the boyfriend's family, they will probably always deny it. JoyfulCook's
niece was murdered in England by her boyfriend. His parents even helped
him to COVER UP the murder. They went to jail too.
Thank goodness for your efforts, Chip.
