I grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, moved around the USA a bit while Bill was in the air force, and now have settled down outside of Cincinatti Ohio where we have now been for about 20 years. So that's over 300 miles, a good day's drive.
I would have loved to have lived abroad either in Europe or Asia but it looks less and less like that will ever happen. It's Newton's law in action.

My DH grew up outside of Cinc'y. He still has family there so we visit 1-2x/year. He went off to college in 1970 and never looked back.
My DH is from Milwaukee, land of bubblers, brats and the infamous Mars cheese castle (technically out of town, but I almost had a wreck driving up I-94 laughing my pants off when I first saw that one)(yeah, we'll be eating here like cheeseheads and kings).
You cannot imagine how many "LaVerne & Shirley" jabs he has endured whenever I have been up there. It's a brewery town rivalry thing. First year we dated, the St. Louis Cardinals played the Milwaukee Brewers in the World Series. St. Louis won, but there was never any doubt.

He loves his football and is a diehard Packerfan, but after what St. Louis endured with the football Cardinals, we sent it to the desert, kind of the way Billy Mumy sent stuff to the cornfield in the Outer Limits. They were, quite possibly, more horrible than the Bengals.
