Hello fellow food.com friends I wanted to share a good blurb that I heard about that has a great recipe for Kale chips and growing tips. Check it out I have made several batches and they are my favorite healthy snack. Any other Kale fans out there?

I love kale, have grown it for 35 years, but kale chips just leave me cold. We made them, liked the first taste, but they were not very interesting after that and finally had to be tossed. Good descriptions of the various varieties, though!

It is totally worth a revisit! Try different blends of spices, they really take on the flavor and are healthy "potato chip" option. If your into indian food try a curry based seasoning, for an italian night sprinkle with garlic powder and salt. It sounds as if your batch had the right texture. You said they were good at first (which means the texture was right) just add some spice and they won't get boring. Enjoy "All hail the mighty Kale!"

Half the batch (made in my Excalibur dehydrator) was spicy. Blandness and boredom were not the issues, texture over time was. I definitely prefer it either raw or cooked over dehydrated.

Looking forward to getting some kale seeds in the ground later this week.
