    Crock Pot Chicken and Rice
I have started to cook this meal late...I am using white rice and I would like to know if 3 hours on high in a large crockpot that usually cooks really fast on high will be inoff time for the rice to turn soft? I never cooked rice in crockpot before. I added 1 3/4 cup of milk to 1 1/2 cup of rice and the two 10 oz. can of cream of soup.Thank you.

I've never cooked rice in the crockpot either, but according to this recipe you can, Perfect Crock Pot Rice
    .
I'm wondering if it might not be a touch too much liquid - if it is a bit soupy when the rice is tender or almost tender, you could scrape it out into a saucepan and cook it on the stove top until excess moisture is driven off - watch to make sure it does not burn. Rice cooks in about 20 minutes on the stove, so this should not take too much time.

It deffinetly will not be too liquide.I even had to add 1 cup of water ( that I seasoned with 1 Tsp of Vegeta seasoning ) and a 1/4 cup of milk.I also had to stir it a few times so it wouldn`t stick to the side of the crockpot.I also added more shreded cheese on top.( The rice is STILL not tender. )

I was under the impression that rice does not do well in the slow cooker. I hope you were able to make this work.
