    Spicy Garlic Kale Chips

    I simmered olive oil with garlic and a spicy dried pepper. That, salt and pepper was the seasoning. They come out so good. Totally addictive.

    They are seriously addictive; and you would never know they are kale. I like the garlic pepper oil which gives them a little kick. They come out very light, thin, and crispy.

    Yum! We like Kale chips right out of the oven and I see the one sold in the store cost a way more then what it cost to make them and am betting you end up with a bag of crumbs.

    I agree Deb; Kale is such an easy vegetable to grow and it keeps on growing. Even the farmers market sell it pretty cheap too.

    I scrolled up and down the pictures twice.. wondering where the chips were ?... because in my head "chips" are like large thick cut "fries".. but it eventually dawned on me "chips" are what we call "crisps"... .. now it makes sense.... icon_smile.gif and now I have my head in the right place, bet they are great.. I love beetroot crisps, parsnip crisps etc.. so these would go well with a stack of them... icon_smile.gif

    I love beet chips too. I hosted a party last year (vegetarian) which wasn't easy for me. Don't get me wrong, sometimes I eat a veggie dinner; but they were pretty strict.

    We had a mix of beet, parsnips, sweet potatoes, kale and celery root. They were so loved and gone in minutes. All of them.

    But even if you aren't a vegetarian, they are addictive. You just can't eat just one, icon_lol.gif

    I like this idea and looking something different that i never tried before. Its a spicy idea and garlic is used in it so i will definitely try this.
