    Pasta e Fagioli

I love this stuff! It is such a forgiving recipe! If you don't like kidney or black beans use white. If you want to add zip use hot Italian sausage over ground beef. If you want it soupy add broth or more tomato/V-8 juice. Switch up your pasta. I usually use cheese tortellini over pasta shapes. I also add chopped kale to mine (new addition). Got a crock pot? Start it in the morning, keep it on low and come home to amazing-just cook whatever pasta your using at the last minute. Offer hot bread sticks and a side salad-your family will ask for it again!

One thing is for sure-it's hearty, it's healthy and it's damn good stuff! If I'm making a batch to freeze I hold back the beans and pasta, adding those at cook time.
