We were getting ready for bed last night - Jar had elected to stay downstairs. I've noticed lately that he's WAY comfortable in his bed, and sometimes he just doesn't like to get up . He comes upstairs eventually.

Either that, or he's laying in wait for kitties. icon_rolleyes.gif

Anyway, we were getting ready for bed when SUDDENLY the cat comes tearing into the bedroom, leaps onto the dresser and into the window behind the drapes. Growling.

Sure enough, here comes the dog, all excited, bounding up the stairs, and he starts sniffing around.

And of COURSE the IDiot CAT decides to play "hotter colder" with him- the closer he got to the window, the louder she growled.

Which got him even more excited.

Keeping in mind, of course, that she is BEHIND the draperies, so he can't actually SEE her. Only hear her, and, presumably smell her. I'm thinking the hate-scent was pretty strong. icon_wink.gif

Eventually, he settled down, right between the dresser and the bed - I assume because he knew she was there and was trying to cut off her avenue of escape.

However, when I was up during the night, I climbed OVER the dog (who was RIGHT up against the bed) and felt for Miss Growly-face, and she was gone.

My husband said that at some point, she'd leaped down off the dresser to the bed, clearing me, and landed on him. In the middle of the night, while he was sleeping.

Neither the dog nor I heard a thing. icon_lol.gif

You know, for some reason he objects to having 12 pounds of flying kitty landing on him in the middle of the night! You'd think he'd be happy that she'd managed to avoid waking the dog. . icon_wink.gif

rotfl.gif (sorry but I'm picturing it....) rotfl.gif At least Jar doesn't jump on the bed after her..... I wind up with the two cats chasing each other when they both get the kitty crazies at once.... then BOTH of them jump onto the bed and then off again.... at least one of them (usually Stella whose slenderizing diet is not working and who weighs in at least 14 lbs) ON me on their way after each other..... Shadow is more considerate (?) and jumps OVER me then they race around the bed a bit..... such night time happiness.... icon_eek.gif

My sister and I travelled one time, and she had to take her cat because he was on medications. We stayed in a pet friendly hotel, but the cat was in NO WAY going to stay in his carrier overnight. Somewhere in the middle of the night, he made his way to the top of the TV armoire and launched himself onto the middle of Aunt Anne's bed.

I shrieked, my sister jumped, and the cat ended up cowering in the bathroom. He was part Maine Coon, and was no lightweight! icon_lol.gif
