I smoked a corned beef brisket flat portion yesterday and made pastrami. Today I had reuben sandwiches.

I just had a ruben at a little German restaurant in Columbus Ohio on Friday. It paled in comparison to your sandwich, and was just OK for flavor. Very nice work. Did you make the marbled rye bread?

The only thing JoeV, I don't see Swiss Cheese ... I have to give you a demerit for that. It is a must in my book. But you got me with everything else.

Gorgeous pastrami!!! Even better looking sandwich. I LOVE a good reuben sandwich. I always use corned beef, never had it with pastrami. But I do like pastrami. Next time, I will have to try it that way. YUMMY!

Swiss Cheese is there. I piled on the pastrami and then a slice of swiss. I then put it under the broiler to melt. Nexts came Russian Dressing and sourkraut.
I did not bake the bread. That is one kitchen task I have yet to tackle.

Thanks for the comments everyone. icon_biggrin.gif

That's because Ole Paymaster refuses to tackle bread baking. icon_lol.gif
He's afraid he'll get hooked on baking......and he will.

    Look great Paymaster.

Well, even to me as a vegetarian this looks really tasty. I imagine this was quite juicy and so full of flavour. I really like the last shot, where you show off your gorgeous sammies. yummy.gif
