I would like to ask a question about tangines, because I've never owned one, but I am often interested in some of the tangine recipes. How does the tangine work? Can it go on a stove, in an oven, or on an outdoor grill? This should answer http://moroccanfood.about.com/od/moroccanfood101/a/Tagines_descrip.htm
any Tagine ? They do say you can start to brown stove top in a tagine. (I would make sure it is a good tagine. Some have dyes that you shouldn`t eat of. I did have a small fire with my first clay tagine. I did have an diffusser. Its gone into the trash.) then you finish in a low oven for slow cooking.
U do have to season the tagine http://moroccanfood.about.com/od/tipsandtechniques/ht/Season_Tagine.htm
Thank you for the info. It was interesting.
