The recipe calls for 2cups raspberries but only 11/2 cups is accounted for in the directions. Where does the other 1/2 cup get used. Also the lemon juice is not mentioned in the directions either, when does this get used?

Hard to say where the extra raspberries are used the intro suggests this dessert is topped with raspberries.

The lemon juice is combine with the raspberries when you simmer it.

Hint: Ingredients are generally listed in the order they are used.

The instructions are incomplete and the only person who can best answer your questions is the posting chef.

Normally you would want to soften the gelatin in a little cold water before incorporating it into anything hot. I would stir the lemon juice in after the gelatin is incorporated. (And perhaps it is meant to go in with the raspberries - the directions are rather incomplete).

The remaining 1/2 cup raspberries is most likely intended as a garnish.
