I have a great recipe for Mac n cheese. It has Velveeta, cottage cheese, sour cream and I was wanting to make them into cupcakes. I noticed most recipes for the cupcake version use eggs and was hoping someone could tell me if I could just use my own recipe or if they won't stay in the cupcake shape without the eggs? Any input would be great! Thanks!!

When you dish yours up, does it hold its shape, or is it runny? If it runs, it won't hold the cupcake shape, even if baked.

Although I've made mac & cheese for decades, I've never baked it in the shape of cupcakes.

At first when you described it, I thought they would need the eggs as a binder so they would hold their shape. However, I found the following recipe that does not use eggs.
I would suggest comparing your recipe to it to see if you need to make any changes in your recipe, it should be a firm mac & cheese to hold the cupcake shape.
