Is cornstarch really healthy? If not then what are my other options?
The reason why I query is, most of the corn products in U.S. have already been processed by Monsanto_ the corporation that Genetically Modifies Foods. Maybe I'm wrong.
Any ideas please

Not knowing what you mean by healthy, it's hard to say. There are plenty of other starchy thickeners available if you don't want to use cornstarch.

No labels are required to inform US consumers about the presence of GMOs in food.
70–75% of all processed foods in the U.S. contained a GM ingredient
USA Genetically modified crops:
93% soybeans - oils, lecithin, emulsifiers, tocopherol (a vitamin E supplement) and soy proteins
94% cotton - cottonseed oil, margarine or shortening
88% corn - starch, syrup, meal, flour, etc etc etc
75% Hawaiian papaya
90% canola - oils and biofuel
95% sugarbeet - sugar
10% alfalfa - food for dairy cows [milk, butter, yogurt, meat etc]

I think that if you look in a health food store, or even the health food section of your supermarket, you should be able to find a brand of cornstarch that is non-GMO. I know you can get non-GMO corn oil and other corn products, so I don't see why they wouldn't make cornstarch too.
