We are in our last week of January 2013 ~ NA/ME Explores OMAN! if you'd like to jump in! We've built up an Omani cookbook - NA/ME visits OMAN! if you'd like to add to it or tag something. It's been a fun visit!

    It's Trivia time.

I found a fun quiz that you might enjoy. It's not really all that difficult and you may pick up some interesting facts.

    Your score is 89%.

    Update on start time.

As you all know we start playing on Feb 1.

The official start time will be 8:00am (Food time)

We will not be tagging each other but recipes from the cookbooks that are now on pg 1 of this thread (they will be moved along with us to the Main Thread) or recipes that you have found here on food that qualify in the Vegetarian category and Vegetarian NA/ME cateory.

Each tag must have 2 recipes, 1 from each cuisine to be valid. Loula's Vegetarian book does contain na/me recipes so if you find one in there that you like go ahead and tag it from that book. What matters is that you have 1 recipe (or 2, 4, 6 icon_wink.gif ) from each qualifying cuisine, not where you found it.

Teaser: We will also be having two optional but fun things for you to do:
    1. Prime Ingredient Challenge
    2. Bonus Treasure Hunt

All will be revealed in the main thread.

Our Susie isn't a great cat lover and over time it has just become an iconic pre-PAC thing to post Felix. icon_wink.gif

I've found something else that I find very interesting. I think you will too.

    IRAN'S 700 YEAR-OLD HOUSES

Allegedly, these homes in Iran, carved out of solid rock, were built on the order of 700 years ago and are still inhabited by people who have given them modern touches (you know, the little things like windows, doors, and electricity). Pretty impressive when you consider that houses in America barely survive a century without extensive maintenance.
