I actually think these would be cute napkins for summer cookouts.

OMG Susie... those would be a kick to have around! I may go to the "Dollar Tree" (where everything is truly only $1), and buy some cloth napkins. Then head to "Micheal's" or "Hobby Lobby" to get colored, washable, water resistant glue and try to make some of my own! I'll let you know if I accomplish it.

You don't iron your own napkins? icon_eek.gif icon_eek.gif

I save mine all year and make the ZWT captains iron them. rotfl.gif rotfl.gif

shhh.gif Don't tell anyone because it would totally blow my ZWT image, but.....
    I have paper towels too.

Please do if you make them!
I thought even I might manage a simple straight stitch with embroidery floss. I think I'll try as I think they are super cute.

Don't tell on me, either, but cloth napkins are only for holidays. The rest of the time it is paper from the dollar store or handfuls from fast food joints! icon_redface.gif icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif

Oh geez... I didn't think of that! Sewing (although I suck at it) would be perfect! My mom-in-law passed last summer, and I have all her embroidering crappola, including the thread, needles and hoop!!! I can draw a pattern and even do a simple "cross stitch"... you know xxxxxx what I mean. LOL!

    Contest Suggestions Please!

We'd like your ideas for our community contests. Consider this a brainstorming session. Let's keep all comments positive and let the ideas flow. No idea is too wild at this point. We can narrow it down to the best suggestions later. icon_wink.gif

We've offered three community contests in the past.

    1. RSC, as we all know "grew up" and is now a sponsored contest. RSC was our general contest. We have the opportunity to replace it with something new. What sounds fun? What would you call it?

    2. Dining on a Dollar features a must use ingredient and tries to be budget friendly. Most of the ingredients on the contest list are also pantry staples. Past must use ingredients have been: ramen noodles, cans of beans, zuchinni, & now ketchup. What would make a good "must use" ingredient.

    3. Category Craze-E challenges us to create recipes within an assigned category. Past categories have included: crockpot, soup & sandwiches, salads, party food, and gifts from your kitchen. What categories would you like to see in a contest?

    4. Other suggestions?

Bringing this forward, here is your opportunity to help shape the next community contest....leave your recommendations or suggestions, we are looking for your imput....you never know, your idea could tie the next contest together.... All ideas are welcome big or small icon_lol.gif
