Okay. As I mentioned earlier I am a fan of plain, unadulterated ketchup. I love it on steak, hamburger, scrambled eggs, etc.

A few years ago I was going for physical therapy because I had tennis elbow, not from playing tennis, but from sorting mail at the post office. Stop making fun. Anyway, I would leave work early to go for therapy. I would always be hungry, so one day I stopped at one of those hot dog trucks. I said, "Could I have some hot dog with my ketchup?" He said, "What did you say?" So I repeated it. Then he busted out laughing and told me what I'd said. He said I made his day. Talk about Freudian slips...

    Now that's a serious ketchup addiction. icon_wink.gif
And so kind of you to give the guy such a good laugh.

Too funny threeovens! I'm personally a mustard lover (no ketchup on a true Chicago Style Hotdog), but I do use ketchup with certain foods. Just have to find a really, really good brand. Best of luck to you in the contest.

Hey Julie, this is a great place to check on time and date.

and I promise to post photos. We're going to Brisbane this weekend,
and Sydney and the Blue Mountains next week. Rosie, you'd better start
    saving for you Aussie trip.

By the way, all this travel is brought on by another visitor. Sherry and I have
been friends since we were four years old in the USA. We travelled to
together in Africa in 2009, but this is her first visit to Australia. We're having
    a blast.

Thanks for posting the time/date link. I checked it out. Very cool. Well, now I can say "goodnight" to you & Julie, but we are just starting our day here in the good ol' USA!

I'm glad that you are enjoying the photos Rosie, I get them off different art sites....

LOVE the pics Baby Kato! LOL. Let me ask you... is "Heinz" sponsoring this particlar contest, or is "any type" of ketchup (catsup) eligible?
    -Rosie icon_smile.gif

    Good Morning Rosie

No Heinz is not sponsoring this contest...this contest is a community contest that is run in the Contest & Events Forum and Hosted by Susie D.

Any type of ketchup or catsup is eligible for the contest....here in Canada, Heinz is the most commonly recognized ketchup, so it is the easiest to find photos for.

Looks like everyone is having a great time with a great list of ingredients.
I forgot to get a reminder for this event so have only just now dropped in.
Probably just as well because I have four—yes FOUR—Food.com house
guests this week—mickeydownunder and her hubby and awalde and her
daughter. What a good time we're having cooking and eating, but we sure
    aren't 'creating'.

I noticed Rosie's and Julie's conversation about tomato sauce. Thought I'd
add that US tomato sauce and Aussie tomato puree are the same thing.

Also, Rosie, I'm heading to Uluru (Ayers Rock) later this month so I'll be
sure to post some photos for you. I've been there twice before and it really
is an amazing place to see. We expect to drive and camp, so there should
be a lot of the country to show off. icon_smile.gif

    Good morning Miss LeggyPeggy,

Its wonderful to hear from you. I hope your last trip was excellent, can't wait to see photos.

What a great time you must be having with Mickeydownunder, Awalde and family.

Thank you so much for your information about the difference or actually lack of difference between North American Ketchup and Australian tomato puree, I'm sure that our players appreciate it as much as we do.... icon_lol.gif

I'll be sure to add your name to the reminder list for the next event.

Susie D & Baby Kato: Thanks for all the tips & info. I'm hoping to enter this contest, but I don't know if I can pull it off by Friday. But, I will however taste test the entries once they are revealed. Do our ratings count towards the winner? (Just wondering).
    Happy day everyone! icon_smile.gif

Hahaha. Our ratings are the ONLY thing that counts toward the winner. Anyone can try a recipe and write a review. The only stipulation is that you must try an equal amount of recipes to the ones you enter. I entered 2 so I must try and review at least 2 of the submissions (not my own). Also we have to wait for the rating period to post our reviews. This is where private notes come in handy. icon_cool.gif

Oh Rosie, I hope you manage to submit your creation, I bet its gonna be great.

If you submit 1 recipe you are comitted to making 1 recipe, otherwise its 1 recipe for each recipe you submit up to three recipes.

You may certainly try as many recipes as you like once they have been revealed. icon_lol.gif BK
