Dining on a Dollar Contest Rules:
Entrants must develop an
ORIGINAL recipe using the secret budget ingredient & then any other 4 ingredients from the contest list provided. You may also use any other ingredients you wish after using those 5; however, the ingredients you use from the Official Contest List should be an ESSENTIAL or basic ingredient of the recipe (not optional or garnish). That is, leaving one of the items out would significantly change the outcome of the recipe.
Each recipe submission must follow the contest rules & there is a maximum of 3 recipes that any one chef may enter. To submit a recipe, please send your recipe
using your personal Email account with your member name & chef number in the subject line. Send your recipe to
zaar_entry@yahoo.com (zaar underscore entry @yahoo.com). (Please note this is not a working link. Personal email accounts must be used.

By entering you are agreeing to make & review at least the same number of recipes you entered into our contests. In this contest that number is one or two or three. You are encouraged to make & test as many recipes as you choose beyond that. Please hold your reviews until the Review Period:

All chefs are eager for constructive feedback. We ask that your reviews are honest, polite and tactful. Reviews should not be intended to be hurtful.
To review contest recipes as fairly as possible, all reviewers are expected to make and taste each recipe reviewed. While encouraging all to follow the recipes exactly as written, we are aware that sometimes contest ingredients may be hard or impossible to purchase in some areas therefore reasonable substitutions are allowed when preparing recipes.
Photos of recipes should NOT be submitted for any contest recipe until the contest is over and the winners have been named. If a photo is submitted early, the recipe may be disqualified or the recipe by the member posting the early photo/ review may have their recipe disqualified. Photographs may be submitted, by any member, AFTER the winners are announced.

Recipes entered into our Community Contests remain anonymous therefore no promotion is allowed and you are agreeing to abide by the Honor Code by submitting a recipe.
Honor Code: Members are not to share their recipe creations with other members. Discussion of submissions and/or reviews is strictly prohibited as is promoting individual recipes in ANY manner. Reviews used for the purpose of this contest may only be posted by ONE member of each household.
1. All recipes will be reviewed to verify the use of FIVE of the official ingredients.
2. All recipe submissions will be hidden from view until after the entry deadline when they all entries will be made public as a group.
3. The recipe poster's name will be hidden from view until after the End Date, so as not to bias any reviewers. Any attempt to identify or promote a recipe by the submitter OR ANYONE could result in disqualification, and a possible warning on their account at food.com. Reviews should be held until the Review Period. Early reviews will not be counted in the final results. Recipes should only be saved into your MAIN or another PRIVATE cookbook so as not to unfairly promote a recipe. All participants are on their honor to not share their recipe titles with anyone else. Doing so will result in disqualification.
4. Once the Contest is over, all recipes will be returned to the original chef's account.
5. Food dot com runs on Eastern Time so all dates are for 11:59pm unless otherwise specified.
6. Any number of recipes above three will be disqualified.
7. The contest winners win the glory & respect of their peers and a prize.
First Place: $75. gift card and an apron
